A great day was had by all on Clean Up Australia Day 2019, debarking from Head Quarters Solo in Chinderah at 9.00am Sunday morning. We worked along the banks of the Tweed River and we had hardly covered 500 meters before we filled the first two bags to the brim with disgusting rubbish!
I must make a special mention of the Togo Family who showed up in force for the event, and especially Alyce Togo who is only in year 6, and promoted most of the event herself like a champion.
Meanwhile across the Tweed shire, other teams loaded Solo Resource Recovery bulk waste bins up with tonnes of rubbish which would otherwise have found it’s way into our water ways and other areas of the environment.
Solo Resource Recovery are proud work with such wonderful people and to be involved in this great initiative. We look forward to continuing to support Clean Up Australia day into the future.
