Garden organics (green waste) is reprocessed into a range of soil improvement products. As garden organics (green waste) may eventually be used on other gardens, the following are not accepted:
Noxious weeds such as ivy or blackberries
Garden organics (green waste) in plastic bags
Wire, cloth, material, plastic or nylon ties
Tree roots and stumps
After your green waste is collected it is taken to a mulching station and chipped. It is then composted for 6-8 weeks, which kills any pathogens and weed seeds. Please do not include plastic bags, plant pots, rubble, dirt, large logs or stumps.
