Education and Promotion
Solo’s education and promotion services will either work in with Council staff conducting education and promotion activities or take responsibility for the function and deliver a high standard of communication to users of the waste services. Our 80 years developing and refining waste services from collection to processing and disposal has demonstrated well what works and what doesn’t to reduce cross contamination of bins. increase the yield of recyclables and organics and decrease the amount of waste going to landfill.
We have education staff and programs that can work with operational staff to address the various presentation issues that may exist using positive and clear messages via verbal, printed, traditional advertising or electronic mediums. We value the contribution the vehicle operators can make to the perception of a collection service throughout the community and promote their liaison with educators to address actual collection issues.
Several programs are presently in place which can be tailored to any municipal collection service for garbage, recycling or organics or any combination of the three. These programs deliver: auditing of presented bins and placement of stickers or tags to encourage great presentation or educate when presentation requires improvement attendance at community events to discuss with customers existing or new services advertising planning, buying and design for direct, print, radio, television and online development of online programs to incorporate email, social media and other internet promotion schools programs that involve visiting classrooms or organising visits to processing and disposal facilities promotional products that maintain the importance of the waste services throughout the community auditing of waste streams to gauge progress and performance of the service design and production of service information such as calendars, info packs, stickers and flyers.
